CPD Event: Tyntesfield Estate walk and talk with the Head Gardener: 11th May 1pm – 5pm
Tyntesfield, just a stone’s throw away from Bristol, was not built as a bold and extravagant statement of wealth, power or politics. Its purpose was simple; to serve as a family home
Join the LISW on a trek around the formal gardens and parkland with Head Gardener, Paul. Find out the tricks of the trade, learn about this fascinating historic landscape and the current conservation projects, and rediscover gems from the Tyntesfield story since the National Trust took over care of the estate. The talk will be targeted at Landscape Architects, drawing on Paul’s experience and knowledge. The garden and estate balance faded beauty and function with an abundance of nature. Flower filled terraces, an empty lake, woodland, champion trees and a productive kitchen garden give further opportunities for exploration.
